What does Okumé mean?

We drew inspiration from the Okoume tree. We played around with the name and adapted it to showcase our french heritage and our love for nature. That is how Okumé was born.

What made you think of a bag with a liquid bladder?

As new mums, we were sick of tired of big, cumbersom nappy bags and decided to play around with some designs. We thought it would be funny to add a liquid bladder for "shits & giggles". We loved it so much we decided to do a first run with a fairly low MOQ which sold out in 3 weeks. We never ever thought this would be something we would continue to do long term.

What comes in my package?

The Luxe Carry All comes with a dustbag, liquid bladder and a thank you card (which has a QR code that leads you to your care instructions). Be sure to scan the QR Code so you know the best ways to use and maintain the integrity of your bag.

Can I use the liquid bladder for different drinks?

We recommend using one bladder per drink, unless you like red wine with your cold brewed coffee 😜.

You can purchase more liquid bladders here.

Please note to take care of your bladder, as it is fragile and can be prone to holes / tears (which in turn will flood your bag).

Are your products vegan?

Yes they are.

What liquids can I put in the liquid bladder?

The world is your oyster when it comes to liquids, specifically with cold or room temperature beverages. Get creative with a cheeky cocktail mix or start your day with an iced coffee. Remember; no hot liquids in the bladder!

Can I use hot liquids in the bladder?

We do not recommend using hot bladder dispenser. There are major safety hazards with pouring hot beverages from the bladder. Scoulding can occur and it will wear down the aluminium bladder.

Why did you choose aluminium bladders over other materials?

After much research, we feel the aluminium bladders are the safer way to drink from as it does not leach any harmful chemicals into your liquid.

Materials like silicone and TPR are easier to reuse but can leach chemicals depending on the beverage you are carrying.

Delivery

How much is delivery?

Delivery fees for Australian customers are AUD$15 for standard shipping.

All international order fees will be calculated based on your location and the provider fees.

When does my order get despatched?

Typically, orders received before 12pm AEST will be despatched the same day.

Orders received after 12pm AEST will be shipped the following day.

Please understand that same day despatch may not always be possible during high volume periods and we ask for your patience during these times.

Once we despatch your order, you will receive an email with a tracking number.

Do you deliver internationally?

Yes we do, we ship all over this wonderful globe of ours.

Can I change or cancel my order once it's been placed?

If you need to change your order, please contact us at info@okume.com.au within an hour of placing your order. We will do our best to help you with your query. Unfortunately if it has already been shipped out, it can not be changed or cancelled.

When will I receive my order / how long does shipping take?

From the day of dispatch, domestically within Australia, your order will take 8-12 business days (via ordinary post).

If you choose to send via express post, it will take 3-5 business days.

Please note that these timeframes are based on metro areas.

If you are outside of metro areas, this can take an additional 5-10 business days.

We recommend allowing up to 28 business days if you are in a rural / remote area of Australia.

From experience, WA, NT, SA & TAS tend to have longer than usual shipping times.

Christmas Delivery Cut Off Dates

These cut of dates are for shipping within Australia.

Standard Shipping:

Between 15 to 19 December depdening on where you are shipping from. EG: from WA to NT the cut off date is 15 December 2023. from QLD to SA the cut off date is 19 December 2023.

Express Shipping:

The same applies here with the dates being from 20 to 22 December.

Recycling

Is the liquid bladder sustainable?

The aluminium bladder is recyclable. We recommend that once you have finished using it, and no longer wish to use it to dispense your beverages; you clean it out and throw it in your recycle bin.

How can I recycle it?

Be sure to clean it out when you are done with it, and place it in your recycling bin.

Payment & Refunds

What payment options are available?

Currently we do not offer any options for part payment of our products. We are looking into this and it should be available soon.

I want a refund?

We offer refunds / credits on all full priced purchases up to 14 days after receipt of goods. 

Items must be returned new, unused and include the dustbag and all tags / card inserts. 

We do not offer free returns at this time. 

Please send us an email at returns@okume.com.au to notify us of your return. 

We will process refunds within 3 business days of receipt of your package. 

We recommend posting with a trackable service as Okumé does not take responsibility for lost packages being returned.

How long does a refund take?

If you've opted for refund, your refund will be issued within 3
business days of us receiving your returned item/s. We will send you a confirmation email once your refund* has been finalised.

 *Refunds may take up to 2 days to appear in your account depending on your method of payment.

Do you have discount codes?

We offer a 10% discount to all our new subscribers; you can then use the discount code at checkout.
